The temple exterior is pallava style and it looks like the works at Mamallapuram. The shrines at Moovar koil built in the 9th Century by Boodi Vikramakesari were the inspiration for the Tanjore big temple that Raja Raja Chola built in the 10th Century.
I am still working on a story for this site.
The ruins, the missing shrine when two others are left standing to this day. If they were that robustly built to withstand time why did they fall. There surely is a story here - just we don't have Kalki or Akilan to concoct one now.
